Having foolishly attempted to recut the valve seats on my BSA A65 at home, I realised I had made a mess of them and I... got in contact with T and L to get some new valve seats fitted to the cylinder head- Barry responded to my email within hours and I couriered the head down to them. Just over one week later and it’s back on the bike…..superb service- price was very reasonable too. They’d even lapped the valves in. Highly recommended.read more

I found this company after an internet search. I will be using their services again. If you have an old BSA or Triumph... engine I have seen their rebuilds. They balanced a Norton crank for me and did a superb job. This company comes highly recommended 🇬🇧👍read more

Where to begin? I needed a crank regrind on my Triumph T140, quick professional chat with Barry and drive up there.... Discover they do vapour blasting and at last min opt for dynamic balancing too. Took 3 weeks - got crank (needed spray welding too) and cases which look amazing, best vapour blasting I’ve ever seen. The crank measures up perfectly at top end of tolerances. Bolt it all up and that’s when I see how good they are at dynamic balancing - my bike is transformed revving freely to 6,000 with little complaint and to 4000 in comfort. For the first time in my 30 years of ownership it feels sorted, way better than when it left the factory I imagine. I then took a knackered Matchless -G80 head to them - T and L have created an art work! Can’t recommend enough. First class engineering and related services at fair prices 👍read more

T & L carried out a full overhaul of my 1098 A Series Minor engine and did a great job.A casting fault was revealed... during reboring but the cylinder was sleeved with no problems.Well done Barryread more

Absolutely amazing service! Had my 1.4 TFSI Audi - cylinder head reconditioned here with new valves + guides as it was... losing compression. Audi’s workshop tried to fix my car spending 4 weeks changing coils and other unnecessary parts without having a clue what’s the actually problem on my car, they then decided I need to buy a whole new cylinder head as they suspect it to be cracked. I knew this cannot be the reason so I called Barry here at T&L and he instantly knew what I need. Obviously my cylinder head has no cracks after T&L did a compression test but the valves were worn out and needed to be replaced along with the guides. After T&L reconditioned my cylinder head they posted back to Audi to install it back on my car, they’ve only taken 3 days to do the whole job which I think is top class quality work. This repair saved me a lot of money as I didn’t have to buy a new head from Audi that would have been over £2k and my car is now running absolutely spot on like it’s brand new, smooth engine sound and no loss of compression anymore! If you're into restoring old British motorcycles, then T&L are the answer to your prayers. Lovely guys who are first... class engineers that really know the subject and their business. My old Matchless cylinder barrel was beyond redemption, but T&L did a lovely job sleeving it for me as well as finding a suitable piston. The barrel was vapour blasted then had damaged cooling fins replaced and repaired before repainting with a decent, heat resisting cylinder black. Now, as good as new. Barry was a pleasure to deal with, so I'll be back. Highly recommended!read more

Two years ago T&L reconditioned my 1960 Triumph T110 lower end and cylinder head. Rebore, dynamic balancing, replace... all bushes and bearings, valves and guides etc. Plus fixing a crankcase crack that others said was unfixable. Since the rebuild I have used the bike every week year round covering about 5000 miles without any problems. Barry must have done something right! He gave good feedback and nothing got fixed that didn’t need fixing. Good job at a fair price.read more
