Our History
Born in 1967
T&L Engineering have been providing a reconditioning service for the last 48 years with a combined experience of over 65 years in engine reconditioning and machining.
T&L Engineering staff and a combination of some of the latest machinery available means that they can enjoy a reputation for precision engineering. All our work is carried out in-house from white metalling to ally welding.
Although a vast majority of our work is cylinder head work, usual engine work such as crankshaft grinding, re-boring and sleeving still plays a vital role in the company’s services offered. The company specializes in line boring, white metalling, metal spraying and dynamic crankshaft balancing.
Rise Like a Phoenix
Following a devastating fire at the original premises of T&L Engineering in 2002, where everything was destroyed on our previous site, we have risen like a phoenix from the ashes.
We were forced to relocate to new premises and build the company back up from scratch to what it is today.

We carry out engine rebuilds and reconditioning services for modern, vintage and classic vehicles including cars and motorcycles.

Barry joined the team at T&L Engineering as an apprentice 34 years ago. He then decided to buy into the company 10 years later.
Gordon
Company Founder
Gordon is the founder of the company with 60 years experience in the motor trade. A vast knowledge on vintage and classic engines. Still going strong at 86!
Phil
Fabrication
Phil has been part of the team at T&L Engineering for over 23 years. If it needs welding or fabricating he is the man to call.

Driver
Kevin is our driver – if you are local to us and you want your job collecting he’s your man
Mitch
Company Mascot
Mitch is the T&L Engineering mascot. He is an old man at 16 years old, but he is still going strong!
